Mental Health Transformation Garden at Chelsea Flower Show

NIDUS-UK has initiated a discussion with The Royal College of Psychiatrists, a garden designer (Matt Keightley), the Enabling Environments Group at the Royal College (Rex Haigh and Sarah Paget) and a jazz musician (Colin Dudman) to develop a mental health transformation garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2020.  Colin (who has worked with us in our musical productions) had the inspiration for the garden after visiting the Chelsea Flower Show this year and the notion of combining gentle music an inspirational garden was quickly recognised as an ideal model for nidotherapy.  We had a meeting with all of those above, together with the President of the Royal College (Professor Wendy Burn) and the Events Manager (Harry Weber-Brown) on 4th September, 2018 and this was a most productive meeting.  We are quietly confident this initiative will succeed and have an ambitious plan involving a Steinway piano in the garden with improvised garden sensitive music wafting through the luscious blooms and waving grasses.
